I'm Marshall, and I'm running the 2025 Chicago Marathon! 🏃🏻🏅

For me, the marathon distance represents a challenge, an achievement, and a privilege. For many people in underserved communities, distance serves as a barrier to achieving the most basic of human rights that we often take for granted: for kids to go to school, for women to travel safely, and for people to go to work and access medical care.

Often times, these barriers in rural and developing communities are too high to overcome, thus perpetuating the cycle of generational poverty. To address this issue, I am proud to fundraise for the World Bicycle Relief, who has supplied almost 1 million bikes across underserved communities in Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Colombia, and others. 

Through the power of this newfound mode of transport, absenteeism in school is significantly reduced, more households are served by health workers, women and children can travel safely and independently without fear, and the quality of life has been transformed for the better. 

Bicycles are personal to me. It serves as my primary method of transportation other than my two feet. I believe in the power of bicycles and their ability to change the world 🌍

That is why I'm running the miles. I'm asking for your help so that they can pedal through the marathon of life, changing the trajectory of their lives to a better future. Every dollar helps provide the most durable and toughest bikes for these communities 💸
