Together, we can make a real difference for people challenged by the distance barrier!!!

The Ikano Group is organising a cycling event to raise funds for World Bicycle Relief, an organisation that empowers people and communities with life-changing bicycles. We believe that through this event we can make an impact in helping individuals, families and entire communities to conquer the challenge of distance, achieve independence and thrive. We are reaching out to ask if your organisation would like to take part to this exciting opportunity to promote mobility, inclusion, well-being and togetherness.

No matter how big or small the effort

We can all contribute to making a difference for people in need. Through our cycling event, we are addressing the needs of nearly one billion people in rural regions of the world who live in communities far from the nearest paved roads, walking for miles each day, just to survive. On foot, individuals race against the sun to complete everyday tasks, and distance is often a great barrier for many to attend school, deliver goods to the market, receive healthcare and other critical services.

From Luxembourg to Sweden by bike

As a warm-up to our annual Ikano health week, a group of enthusiastic Ikano colleagues from all parts of our businesses will bike from our head office in Luxembourg, to our Ikano Bank and Ikano Real Estate offices in Hyllie, Sweden. That’s about 850 km, with a total of elevation of almost 8.000 metres! Our team will set off on 8th September and cross the finish line together on 15th September, with the goal to raise funds to support World Bicycle Relief’s activities. Local Ikano bike events will be held the same week, giving colleagues who can’t join the ride from Luxembourg to Hyllie, a chance to engage.

As a company, we are committed to giving back to our communities and supporting those who are less fortunate. That's why Ikano Group will contribute with EUR10,000 towards this effort.
