I’ve believed physical mobility enables enables economic mobility, but I recently learned it can also save lives.
So I am riding the empire state trail starting in Buffalo back to NYC, after a long day of riding I came across a youtube video about the "Buffalo bike": a robust, purpose-built bicycle designed for rugged terrain and heavy loads, aimed at improving mobility and economic opportunities in developing regions.
This is accomplished through sustainable design from one
Not only that, but it's cofounded by one of the cofounders of SRAM, one of the top performance bike brands in the world.
I'm really taken by the story and the mission of this company, and I am riding this trail another ~400 miles by Friday.
