Help JaBig Change Lives Through The Power of Bicycles
My name is JaBig, an international DJ and adventurer hailing from Canada (born Jean-Aimé Bigirimana in 1979, Kigali, Rwanda). My profession/passion is travelling the globe, performing for House Music lovers and indulging in my love for cycling.
I not only ride for personal enjoyment and connecting with my community but also for escapism and my mission of raising funds for World Bicycle Relief.
My cycling expeditions have seen me traverse Canada twice (2016's fixed-gear bike Guinness World Record-setting winter journey and 2020's pandemic ride), explore Europe in 2019 (through the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Switzerland), and circumnavigate the United States in 2022.
Between July and September 2023, I will once more "bike for bikes," undertaking a solo expedition from the northernmost cyclable point in Western Europe to its southernmost tip.
This 7,500 km odyssey from North Cape, Norway, to Tarifa, Spain will lead me through 12 countries, offering a unique opportunity to hopefully immerse myself in diverse cultures and striking landscapes.
My goal is to raise a minimum of 10,000 Euros for World Bicycle Relief in support of their mission to provide both a literal and figurative vehicle for children in rural Africa, enabling access to education by first ensuring they can reach their schools.
On previous expeditions, I have successfully raised over USD $20,000. Following my 2022 ride around the USA, I visited Kenya, witnessing first-hand the transformative power of bicycles. I can personally attest that Buffalo Bikes are life-changing, uplifting entire communities.
If you wish to support my charitable challenge, please consider making a donation and perhaps sharing this page amongst your friends.
An additional fundraising approach involves inviting individuals to cycle with me, for a short or significant distance, contributing 1 Euro/Pound per kilometre pedalled. If this prospect appeals to you, your family or friends, please follow my Instagram for updates on my location as well as engaging stories from the journey.
Thank you kindly for your attention and in advance, for your generous contribution which will help make the world a better place for children in rural Africa.
