Help me bring more bikes to rural communities to help students, healthcare workers and entrepreneurs access essential goods and services!

As a cycle enthusiast, cycling has been a part of my life since a very young age. From the age of 9, I started long distance cycling (riding the 204-mile Seattle-to-Portland challenge) and since then it has become a significant part of my life. Not only has cycling given me a great sense of freedom and independence, but it has also allowed me to experience the beauty of the outdoors in a unique way. Through cycling, I have been able to connect with others who share the same passion and form lifelong friendships.

Unfortunately, not everyone has the same access to bicycles and the benefits that come with them. This is where World Bicycle Relief comes in. Their mission is to provide bicycles to people in need around the world.  Bicycles will help children get to school safely, healthcare workers reach patients in remote areas, and entrepreneurs access new markets. With a bicycle, individuals can travel farther and faster than they ever could on foot, and they can do so with greater ease and efficiency.

This cause is very important to me - I have setup a fundraising goal of $8000 and hoping you will consider supporting me on meeting this goal. The cost of funding one bicycle is approximately $200 and does go a long way in supporting Zambians in need. As part of the fundraising efforts, I will be riding the 400 mile Bike Zambia challenge from July 6^th to July 14^th through Zambia's rugged and beautiful landscape, from Lusaka to Livingstone. Throughout this ride, my goal is to see, experience and support the bicycle programs' impact on the local communities and join in assembling and distributing the bicycles.  Your donation can make a big difference in the lives of those who need it most.  With your support, World Bicycle Relief can continue to provide bicycles and the freedom and opportunities they bring to people in need.
