Help support Kiel and EmmyLou's Father-Daughter Team for Rebecca's Private Idaho!
EmmyLou (5) and Kiel (aka Dad) will be taking on the "Baked Potato" 100 mile gravel ride at Rebecca's Private Idaho. This challenge will be more than double the distance of our longest ride to date. With plenty of climbing, challenging gravel roads and even some technical single track, we will be pushing ourselves further than ever before. We will be taking on the event as a tandem with EmmyLou in her "weehoo" behind Kiel.
We are taking on this particular challenge for a number of reasons:
- To show what kids (particularly girls!!!) are capable of taking on big adventures if given the choice and the space to push themselves.
- To highlight the importance of the father/daughter relationship.
- To empower girls and women to feel comfortable in spaces that have historically been reserved for boys and men.
- To celebrate the amazing impact of teachers! Teachers have already played an incredibly positive and important role in EmmyLou's young life. Emmy and Kiel believe that every child should have access to teachers and educators. They are fundraising with the help of WBR in the hopes of making a small impact in the lives of children who have not had the opportunity to easily access an education, all through the power of bikes! Yay!
Help push us along on our journey and support a cause that inspires us. If EmmyLou can do it, so can you! Starting in just two weeks EmmyLou will begin kindergarten. She will have 22 kids in her class. Our goal is to raise enough money to send 22 kids bikes so that they can pedal to school and receive an education too!
