Ride Like King 15 - Riding for a Better World

Ride Like King started in 2009 as a small event within the Giant Group family to celebrate King Liu’s passion for cycling. In 2007, at age 73, King prepared for and completed a 15-day, 927km ride around Taiwan. That ride sparked a renewed interest in King’s own cycling lifestyle and the benefits that cycling can have on health and fitness. Now in its 15th year, this celebration of Giant Group founder King Liu’s contributions to cycling will take place May 19-21. “RLK15” invites riders everywhere to help Ride for a Better World.

This year there are twelve Zwift events and we invite you to ride IRL as well. The Zwift rides will be led by Giant and Liv ambassadors, athletes, and employees. 

To honor 15 years of Ride Like King and Giant Group's 50th Anniversary, the Giant Group is donating one Buffalo Bicycle to World Bicycle Relief for every 500km ridden collectively, with a goal of donating 500 Buffalo Bicycles through World Bicycle Relief.  

In 2020, the event helped raise enough to provide 100 Buffalo Bicycles, in 2021 and 2022, the community stepped up in an even bigger way, providing more than 300 bicycles to individuals in need. Help us reach our bold goal of 500 bicycles this year!

These purpose-built bikes are engineered for heavy loads, long distances, and rugged terrain. They are manufactured by Giant Group and assembled by World Bicycle Relief employees in local regions around the world.
