On 21st April, 2023 I'm undertaking a challenge to walk the 300 km across the North of England. I'm doing it as a challenge to myself and to commemorate Lyn who died on 21st April, 2022. I have chosen to support World Bicycle Relief and I think Lyn would have approved, having been a great cyclist himself. I will be walking the 300 km out of choice. However, many people throughout the world have little choice in how to get about in their daily lives. They often have to walk many miles each day in difficult conditions to collect water, go to school or to the market. The use of a bicycle would be a huge help in making these daily tasks easier, and at the same time would cause no pollution, and help keep the local environment safe and clean.
It would mean a lot to me if you could help support my personal fundraising efforts to help mobilize individuals in rural developing countries. A brand new specifically constructed bike costs EUR 147 and helps bring about huge changes for the better.
I would like to try and raise £1,500. This would be enough to buy 10 of these bikes, but of course I would be delighted if even more could be raised.
